Our story

Kettle to Keg is a 100% family-owned small business located in Sherman, Texas. Our business is based on positivity, fairness, and providing the best customer service in the business!

When we say we are a family business, we mean it. Dale and Sandy Schores were married on January 29,2025. We purchased Kettle to Keg so that home brewers like ourselves would have a place to purchase their supplies to make their own home brews. We also have our own door greeter that also likes lots of attention from our visitors. Hank, our very compassionate and loyal fur baby is here on Saturdays with us to keep an eye on things. Between the three of us, we take care of everything around here, especially YOU, our customers!

We have everything for the aspiring homebrewer just getting started to all grain professional brewing. We also carry other things like DIY kits for Mead, Wine, Whiskey and Soda. We also have DIY kits for making Hot Sauce, Cheese, Bread and other foods. We want to make our store family oriented for those who think outside the brewing.

Dale has a passion for creativity. His first love is his wife Sandy. Dale has many hidden talents.
He is a home brewer, a cook, a jeweler, and creates art. His love to be creative is not just a hobby but a desire to put his ideas into play.
Dale also loves his fur babies.

Hank Schores

Owner | Door Greeter

Hank is a very responsible puppy. He is our official door greeter here at Kettle to Keg. He loves the attention that he gets from others and can’t get enough of pets from his customers.
Hank is a delightful and carefree Puppy. He likes treats when he gets them and loves to lick folks to show his appreciation for the acknowledgement from others that show him kindness.

Sandy Schores

Owner-Operator | Care Giver | Writer

Sandy Schores loves to sample Dales home brews, taking care of her family, writing poetry.
Her first love is her husband Dale and she loves her fur baby Hank. In her spare time she writes poetry and brushes up on her business law.
Dale makes Sandy feel like a queen by getting her to sample foods that he cooks and shares with her all his creations.
