Description

Elderberries make a great Port style wine, or are great to use in your beer to add flavor and complexity. Elderberries are known to bring out sweet and floral flavors and aromas. Goes well with darker beers and fruit beers, although the color is second to none when added to a lighter beer.

Elderberries are known to have high levels of flavonoids, and have been used for their health benefits for hundreds of years. They contain antioxidants, and are believed to be an integral part for relieving colds, fighting the flu, boosting the immune system, and even fight acne and other internal and external inflammatory conditions.

Usage: Add 2 – 4 oz per 5 gallons at the end of the boil (10 minutes or less) or during fermentation.
