Duotight 8mm (5/16″) Bulkhead (5/16″ x 1/4″ BSP)

Duotight Bulkheads allow you to add a bulkhead to just about anything and then be connected to with EVABarrier 8mm O.D. tubing or 5/16″ O.D. stainless or copper tubing.

These Duotight Bulkheads are the same one used for installing a Thermowell into the lid of the FermZilla.

Duotight fittings are high-quality, clamp-free, push-in fittings that seal tight and offer superior sealing capacity due to the double O-ring sealing design.

Duotight fittings are compatible with EVABarrier 8mm O.D. tubing and has superior sealing performance. Duotight uses not one, but two high-quality EPDM O-rings, which is literally twice the sealing surface when compared with other push-in fittings. They are more reliable and the o-rings significantly reduce the chances of leaks. Having a double O-ring system also means that tubing can be bent at a much tighter radius without causing leaks, which can be an issue with other fittings. Duotight fittings are the most reliable push-in fittings on the market.

A note on EPDM: EPDM offers excellent chemical resistance for a longer life span. When compared with silicone and vinyl, EPDM has much better gas transmission rates, better wear resistance, and is BPA-free.

Use: It is recommend to cut the tubing straight and not on an angle to ensure a complete seal. To remove the fitting simply push and hold the collet in/down and pull the tubing out.

Note: Do not expose Duotight fittings to chlorine (bleach, other chlorinated chemicals) as it will degrade the acetal plastic and stainless steel.
