Description
Star San is an acid based sanitizer that is quick, odorless, tasteless, and safe for most materials except softer metals. Its high foaming action ensures thorough coverage and contact time in larger vessels and better penetration into little nooks and crannies. Residual foam will not cause any problems or harm anyone or equipment. When mixing up a spray bottle, it is recommended to use distilled or RO water to maximize the life of Star San solution as water mineral will lower the shelf life.
Some dislike the high volume of foam; especially if bottling, if this is the case, consider using the lower foaming Saniclean which can be found here.
Use: 1 oz per 5 gallons of water for 1 minute of contact time
