Carafa Special Type 1 is made from the finest quality brewing barley. De-husked and gently roasted, the CARAFA® series of malts is characterized by its high color intensity and unique roasting aromas.
Up to 5% usage for special brew malt for all dark beer styles such as:
- Weissbier: Dunkel Weizen, Weizenbock
- German Ale: Altbier
- Brown Ale: British Brown Ale, American Brown Ale
- Strong Ale: British Strong Ale
- Porter: Pre-Prohibition Porter
- Stout: Sweet Stout, Oatmeal Stout, Tropical Stout
